PROFESSIONALLY
I have been helping individuals and non-profits with financial planning and investment management for 10 years. Over that time, I have worked at various large institutions and have created hundreds of financial plans and managed over $250 million for my clients.
I have earned the right to use both a CFA and CFP® designation.
To earn the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, I have passed three rigorous exams focusing on investment management and ethics, exceeded the experience requirement, signed an ethics agreement, and continue to stay up to date by fulfilling annual continuing education requirements.
To earn the right to use the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation, I have passed a rigorous exam on financial and retirement planning, fulfilled the education requirements, and continue to keep up to date with additional continuing education requirements.
I got into the wealth management business to apply my deep financial knowledge to help people and nonprofits realize their goals. During the years I spent working at large institutions I quickly realized I would not be able to help people the way they deserved because of the large account loads, continual sales goals, and extra layers of bureaucracy the corporate world creates. I started an independent firm in order to simplify things for myself and my clients and to ensure that I can make helping my clients the only thing I need to focus on.
PERSONALLY
When not spending my time with clients or reading up on the latest financial research you will normally find me watching soccer (Liverpool are my team), travelling internationally, reading about anything ranging from religion and philosophy to markets and finance, exploring the Cleveland restaurant scene with my wife (let me know if you need any recommendations!), or trying new wines.
I was born in Akron, Ohio and went to the University of Akron where I studied finance with a specialty in financial planning. During my time at Akron I had the opportunity to study and live in London, England and still love returning there whenever possible.
At the end of the day what brings me the most happiness is helping people, and I am so honored to be doing just that!
