  • I'd like to work with you, what are the next steps?"
    1. Contact me via email or phone or the contact form below, and I will set up a free first meeting where we will get to know each other, and see if I can help you with your needs. 2. Based on the needs brought up at the first meeting, I will go back and prepare whatever is needed to move forward. We will then set up a second meeting where I will present the ways in which I can help, have you sign any forms, and gather all the data I need. 3. I will open the account and begin work on the plan or portfolio. I will continuously update you on exactly where things are. 4. Once everything is set up I will reach out and confirm that it all looks good. In the first year working together I will recommend at least quarterly face to face or online meetings. Of course I also am available via phone or email at any time if you have any issues or concerns.
  • Do you have an account minimum?
    Technically no, we can work with whoever wants to work with us. That being said we typically work with people who have $250,000 or more in investments for us to manage. However, if you have less than $250,000, or do not need portfolio management we have the Personal Financial Consulting option. You can learn more on the "What We Do" page. Regardless of where you fit, we will always have a free consultation with anyone who is interested to decide if we are a good fit for each other.
  • Who actually holds my money?
    We work with TD Ameritrade, one of the largest financial institutions in the world. They will hold your money, and when you look at your account you will login to their site. They also will send the statements and tax information.
  • Do I have to sell all my investments to move to you?
    We will review your current portfolio before advising, but typically no. We can normally execute what's called an "in-kind" transfer where we take the investments from wherever they currently are, move them to us, and everything can remain the same. This helps avoid any tax issues that could arise.
  • What are your fees?
    Being an independent business, we have flexibility on what we charge. We currently have 3 different types of fees. Find out exactly what we charge on the "What We Charge" page in the header above. We have nothing to hide, in fact we believe everyone should absolutely know exactly what they pay their advisor.
  • Can I see my account online?
    Yes. You can log in with the green button on the top of the page titled "Client Login". This will take you to TD Ameritrade's special site for my clients.
  • What does Anfield mean?
    There is a longer story to this, but to keep it simple - Anfield is the name of the stadium of my favorite soccer team, Liverpool Football Club and the neighborhood they are located in. If you're a soccer fan make sure to let me know!
